Project Overview

This project was a full post-renovation clean for a newly fitted apartment in Geylang. Renovation and fit-out work leaves behind a layer of fine dust and residue across almost every surface, and the home needed a thorough clean before it was comfortable and ready to be lived in.

AllDone Services worked through the apartment to remove fine renovation dust, wipe down surfaces and clean the kitchen, bathrooms and floors, bringing the home into a fresh, move-in-ready condition after the building works had finished. Post-renovation cleaning is more involved than a regular clean, as the fine dust settles into corners, edges and fittings throughout the unit.

Approaching the clean in the right order helped keep dust from resettling onto areas that had already been done. The completed clean handed the apartment back in a noticeably fresher state, clear of the dust and residue left by the renovation.

How the Work Was Managed

Because post-renovation dust settles everywhere, the clean worked from the higher surfaces downward so that dust brought down during cleaning would not resettle onto areas that had already been finished. The kitchen, bathrooms and floors were given particular attention, as these areas tend to collect the most residue during a fit-out. A final inspection was carried out at the end to catch any spots needing a second pass before the apartment was handed over.

Project Outcome

By the end of the clean, the apartment’s surfaces, kitchen, bathrooms and floors had been cleared of renovation dust and residue, leaving the home in a fresh, move-in-ready condition. The unit was handed back ready for the owners to unpack and settle in without having to clean up after the works themselves. Clearing the fine dust properly at this stage also makes the home easier to keep clean once everyday living begins.
